Reviews
El Taquito is not a restaurant. It is a metaphor--a grim yet seductive reminder of humanity's ceaseless quest for meaning in a world defined by chaos. As I entered, the air was thick with the aroma of charred meat and fleeting dreams. The tacos, though small, held the weight of centuries, each bite a delicate balance between pleasure and existential dread. The servers moved with a kind of determined indifference, as though they too understood that we are all but dust in the winds of fate. They brought me my enchiladas without a word, for what could words do in the face of the inevitable? In conclusion, El Taquito reminds us that while the food nourishes our bodies, it leaves our souls untouched--yearning for meaning in a universe that provides none. I recommend the carnitas. Decent Margaritas too
I could tell this place had trouble attracting business as it's a bit hidden from traffic passing through on the main highways. It's behind an AutoZone and a car wash, and the only clue that it's there are the multiple signs pointing to it from the parking lots directly on Church Street (US 190). The food was pretty good for the price. The main thing to be aware of is that they do charge extra for the privilege of using a credit card; if I wasn't paying attention I would have paid this extra fee even though I was paying with cash.
We stopped in for lunch, I had the mini tacos with chicken fajita meat. They gave me 4 street style tacos piled high with fajita grilled chicken, diced raw onions, fajita grilled onions, & chopped cilantro. Holy moly they were tasty! I also got Mexican rice instead of the beans and have to say it was some of the best Mexican rice I have ever had, made with chunks of carrot &peppers. The service was excellent.
I have had everything on the menu and all is great!!. If u cant give a 5 star then ur one of those people that cant be pleased I love this place, the people, food, and Eddy makes the best drinks around. Larry.
